NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY CELEBRATION

The National Education Day of India was celebrated on 11th November, 2013 at D.A.V. Public School, Velachery to highlight that 'EDUCATION IMPARTED BY HEART CAN BRING REVOLUTION IN THE SOCIETY. It is celebrated all over India to commemorate the anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, free India's first Education Minister who guided the destinies of the nation for eleven years.

The programs staged by the children reiterated the right of education as a universal entitlement. Hasna of Std.V enlightened the audience by recalling Moulana Abul kalam's Mission and Vision - 'Education of the Masses'. The nightingales of the school choir enlightened the atmosphere with 'Never Say Never' attitude. The dazzling movements of Std. VIII enticed the viewers showcasing how sprightly 'School Ke Din' could be by declaring their dream. With futuristic approach Std. III portrayed a new nation through their melodious rhythm. Education is immortal and eternal, to reiterate Std.VIII showcased a short play, 'Kalviya Selvama -Kalvidhan'.

The program culminated with 'RTE' - A dance drama highlighting the measures taken by the government to provide equal opportunities in education to the downtrodden.

At D.A.V. Public School, Velachery it was indeed a day of joy, love and respects for the country and the students urged to make India a better place for Indians to live recognizing the importance of education.
